Rites Held For Frank W. Mattson

Funeral rites for Frank W. Mattson of Centerville were conducted at the Phillips Funeral Home Friday with the Rev. J. A. Dunn of Venterville Church of Christ officiating. Interment followed in the Centerville Grange Cemetery.

Mattson, life time resident of Centerville, was born there March 4, 1883. He was the son of Lars and Anna Mattson. He passed away in the Klickitat Valley Hospital at Goldendale, February 24 at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 24 days.

He married Hilda Kononen November 10, 1904. To this union were born two children, a son Clarence and a daughter Edna who preceded him in death. He lived in the Centerville area and had been actively engaged in farming until the time of his illness in June of 1953.

He was confirmed in the Centerville Lutheran Church in his youth. Beside his wife Hilda, he is survived by his son Clarence of Centerville, one brother Arthur of Centerville, two grand-children, Gerald of Goldendale, and Joyce of Centerville, and one great grandchild, Jeffrey of Goldendale. Also many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Lyle Woods, Richard Mattson, Ernest Mattson, Otis Mattson, Hugh Cameron and Wilbur Crocker.
