Funeral services were held Saturday, November 6 at the Knosher Funeral Home for the late Arthur Mattson, who passed away November 3 at the Simcoe Manor Nursing Home. Ray Hilman was the officiating minister and pallbearers were Otis Mattson, Raymond Mattson, Clarence Mattson, Ernest Mattson, Wilbert Crocker and Albin Wiidanen, interment was in the IOOF Cemetery.
• • Arthur Mattson, son of Lars and Anna Mattson, was born at Centerville July 1,1885. He was married to Alina Liimatta in 1903 who passed away February, 1959. To this union three children were born: Henry, who passed away in 1918; Walter of Elgin, Ore., and Alma Myers of Battleground. He was married to Jetta Niva July 19, 1959 who passed away February 1965. He lived his entire life in the Centerville area, farming and later worked on the railroad, from which he retired a number of years ago.
Besides his two children, he leaves to mourn his loss, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church of Centerville.
