Glenn Edward Crew, 75, Magnolia, died at 4:35 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral services will be held today at the Shooting Park Road Baptist Church, Peru.
Visitation will be 4-6:30 p.m. today at the church with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m.
Graveside military services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Magnolia Cemetery.
His body was donated for the advancement of medical education and study through the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois.
Born Dec. 18, 1926, he was one of 14 children of John E. and Hazel A. Crew, Toluca. He married Maudie E. King on Aug. 30, 1946 in Varna. She survives.
Also surviving are children, Linda (Mrs. Richard Morrissey, East Peoria; Glenn A. (Charlotte) Crew, Magnolia; Robert (Patrice) Crew, Granville; Cheryl (Mrs. David) Smith, Magnolia; Debbie (Mrs. Jerome) Price, Creve Coeur; Pam Griffin (Wilbur McLaughlin III), McNabb; and Jerry Lee (Wanda) Crew-Lowrey, Waynesville; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ella Teegarden aand Dorothy Grubb, both of Streator; Phyllis Clearwater, Tonica; and Helen Bridgeforth, Rutland; and brothers, Clifford Crew, Toluca; Warren Crew, Varna; and Walter Crew, La Salle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dannie Crew; a grandson; four brothers and two sisters.
A veteran of the Navy and Air Force, he served between 1942-52.
He retired as a truck driver from Cullinan Construction, Tremont, in 1988.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church, Lacon.
