FAIRBURY -- Mardell Albee, 59, of 308 Greenview Dr., Yankton, S.D., formerly of Fairbury, died Sunday (Sept. 27, 1987) at her South Dakota home.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, the Rev. David R. Deal officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home.
She was born Feb. 20, 1928, in Fairbury, a daughter of Thomas S. and Helen Flury Nance.
Surviving are one daughter, Kathleen Batten, Lincoln, Nebr.; three sons, James and Brad, both of Ames, Iowa; and Alan, Sandy, Utah; her mother, Helen C. Nance, Fairbury; five brothers, Thomas L., Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; John W., Forrest; Donald D., San Diego, Calif.; Richard K., Chenoa; and James L., Joliet; eight sisters, Charlotte Hartman, Racine, Wisc.; Shirley Dickenson, Onarga; Betty Faw, Fairbury; Barbara White, Mahomet; Linda Sparks, Grand Junction, Colo.; Judith Hildreth, 23 Broadway Place, Normal; Madge Bayston, New Braunfels, Tex.; and Margie Hedrick, Fairbury; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, one brother and two sisters.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Yankton, S.D., and the Beginning Experience Group at Mount Marty College.
She graduated from Fairbury High School in 1946 and retired in 1986 as the chief operations officer of the Production Credit Association of Yankton, S.D.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
