Shirley A. Dickenson, 83, of Champaign passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at her home.

Shirley was born May 2, 1931 in Fairbury, the daughter of Tom and Helen Flury Nance and they preceded her in death in addition to three brothers, six sisters and one son, Douglas. She married Thomas Newton Dickenson on July 28, 1954 in Hernando, MS and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1996.

She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Hoover of Watseka; one grandchild, Thomas “TD” Forbes of Sheldon; two great-grandchildren, Braydon and Weston; four sisters; and three brothers.

Mrs. Dickenson liked to sew and travel and enjoyed being a good hostess.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga. Burial will be at a later date in the Onarga Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
