Charlotte was united in marriage to Wayne E. Hartman on November 2, 1945 in Fairbury, IL, and together they raised 4 children. Charlotte was a volunteer and active member of First Presbyterian Church, the Women's Club of Racine and the PTA. She volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary, loved dancing and playing bridge. More than anything, it was time spent with her family that she treasured the most. Charlotte will be fondly remembered for her kindness, generosity and cherry pie. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband Wayne of 68 years; 4 children, Myra Hartman of St. Paul, MN, Marsha (David Senness) Hartman of St. Paul, MN; Beth (Dale) Nielsen of Racine; Ken (Mary Jo) Hartman of Racine; 4 grandchildren, Carl Heuckendorf, Christo Nielsen, Erica Nielsen, Mitchell Hartman; 3 great grandchildren, Logan Fesko and Gwen and Audrey Heuckendorf; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Complete funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 12, 2014. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Ben Johnston-Krase officiating.
