Sophrona B. Knapp, 87, died at a local nursing home, Saturday. Born February 27, 1885 at Littlerock, Washington, she married Lewis Knapp in 1923. He preceded her in death in Centralia in 1955.
She has been a bible worker for the Washington Conference of Seventh Day Adventist for a number of years. She came here from Rochester in 1955 and made her home with her sister, Mrs. Grace Ploeger, Rt. 5.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventists Church; survived by five brothers--Orville Dodge, Ellensburg; Glenn Dodge, Oakville; Bradley Dodge, Walnut Grove, Oregon; Dean Dodge, Trout Lake; Milton Dodge of Talent, Oregon; two sisters--Mrs. Olive Gillett, Willmette, Illinois and Mrs. Ploeger. Funeral at Evenson's, Tuesday, 10 a.m., the Rev. Craig Willis and Rev. R. G. Dutro officiating. Burial at IOOF Cemetery, Olympia.
