Bernadine Tinsley, 84, Wellsville, died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at the Life Care Center, Osawatomie. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapels Inc., Garnett.
She was born March 4, 1923, at Garnett to Ebenezer Slocum and LeDell (Swisher) Dart.
She worked as a nurse's aide at Anderson County Hospital.
She married James Oliver Tinsley Oct. 18, 1941, at Garnett. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include son, James Tinsley, Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Judy Sessions, Wellsville; sisters, Vivian Haynes, Garnett, and Blanche Brady, Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Harold Dean Tinsley; daughters, Janice Elaine Tinsley and Zona Yvonne Tinsley; and sisters, Bonnie Koontz, Mary Maxey, Rose Burns, Florence Coen, May Lilly, Lois Hunt and Zona Smith.
Burial will be at Garnett Cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. Tuesday to the service hour at the funeral home
