Ebenezer Dart Services
Funeral services for Ebenezer Dart were held Friday, November 23 at the Farris Funeral Home at 2:00.
Rev. Roy E. Jones officiated. Mrs Doris Jackson, organist accompanied Rev. and Mrs. Sherman Kirkpatrick, who sang "Asleep in Jesus". and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere.
Pallbearers were: Richard Burns, Garland Haynes, Roland Hunt, LaVern Koontz, Warren Lilly, Edward E. Maxey, Stanley M. Maxey, Conrad Moyer and Edward Moyer.
Interment was in the Garnett cemetery.
Ebenezer Slocum Dart, son of Emily Louise Slocum Dart and Hiram Dart was born August 7 1868 near Greeley, Kansas. He departed this life November 90, 1951 at the age of 83 years, 3 months and13 days. He was united in marriage to Lue Dell Swisher, September 20, 1893.
To this union 13 children were born. Hiram and Ruth preceded their father in death, having departed this life in infancy. Besides Mrs. Dart, there are the following to mourn his passing: Mrs. Rose Bums, Garnett; Adam Jasper Dart of the home; Mrs. Henry Lilly, Ottawa; Mrs. Fred Hunt, Garnett; Mrs. Doyle Koontz, Bentonville Ark.; Mrs. Claude Smith, Garnett; Mrs Earnest Maxey, Kansas City; Mrs. Harold Coen, Kansas City; Mrs. Harold Haynes, Garnett, Mrs. John Brady; Mrs. Oliver Tinsley, Garnett; 25 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.
