He was 69 and a native of Corbin. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, and 9 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment in Vickers Cemetery. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, E. A. and Terri Covington, Don and Sara Covington and Bobby and Jan Covington; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Faye and Kenneth Desoto; stepchildren and spouses, Sherrie and Carl Fergie, Shelly and Daniel Barton, Michelle and Donald Tyler, Pam and Troy Lambert, and Monisa and James Lentz; a sister, Vivian Cronk; grandchildren, Justin and Brian Covington, Jennifer Davis, Damion Bush and Dee Dee Chenevert; stepgrandchildren, Claire and Donielle Cunningham, Erika Fergie, Chris and Johnathan Snow, Brittany and Bradly McLin, Chassity Lambert, Megan, Dyer and Dillon James and Cody and Ryan Lynch; and a great-grandchild, Shawn Chenevert. Preceded in death by parents, John P. and Cassie Achord Covington; brothers, Jake, J. P. "Brown" Jr.., Edward, Sidney "Bill", Leo, D. E. and Eldon Covington; sisters, Allie Graham, Pauline Reinninger, Emma Wascom and Loversie Davis; a stepchild, J. R. Burge; and grandchildren, Alana Patrice Covington and Allan Cole Covington.
