Died at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 1980, at New Roads. He was 60, a native and resident of Walker. He was retired from Ideal Cement Co. Visiting at Friendship Methodist Church, Walker, from 10 a.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday. Religious services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church. Interment in Vickers Cemetery, Walker. Survived by his wife, Mrs. L. E. Covington, Walker; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Watts, Walker; three sons, Leo F. Jr., John Earl and Terry Lynn Covington, all of Walker; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Wascom, Mrs. Vivian Cronk and Mrs. Allie Graham, all of Walker; two brothers, Edward "Tack" Covington, Walker, and Earlo A. Covington, Denham Springs; and four grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, John Pack Covington and Cassie Achord Covington. He was a millwright with Local 720. Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, in charge of arrangements.
