John R. Covington, age 72, died at Our Lady Of The Lake Hospital at 1:30 a.m. Friday, Welsh Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Welsh Parlors, with burial in Vickers Cemetery at Walker. Survivors include two sons, William C. Covington and John C. Covington; three daughters, Mrs. George F. Holden, Mrs. Joe Massina and Mrs. Robert H. Hooper, all of Baton Rouge; six sisters, Mrs. Odie Blount, Mrs. Emma Wascom, Mrs. Anna Graham, Mrs. Lena Graham and Mrs. Allie Graham and Mrs. Viven Renniger, all of Walker; nine brothers, Buck, Arch, Edward, J. P., Bill, Leo, Elton, Erlo, all of Walker, and Tony, of Albany; six grandchildren.
