Covington, L.E. Meades The woman who collected angels is an angel in heaven herself. A resident of Walker, she died at 9:40 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home, Denham Springs. She was 80 and a native of Walker. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and in the chapel on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Richard Beatty and special speaker, Jerry Dedon. Burial in Vickers Cemetery in Walker. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mattie Ruth Covington and Malcolm Watts; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Leo F. and Barbara Covington, Terry Lynn and Ginger Covington and John Earl Covington and son, Travis; two sisters, Mae Dell Bennett Smith and Lillie Bell Ducote; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo F. Covington Sr.; parents, Henry Earl and Leona Spillman Meades; two brothers, Jesse H. and Henry Earl Meades Jr. She was a member of Abundant Life Church, Denham Springs.
