Elsie Gwyn Dame of Gloucester was born 93 years ago to Blanche and Samuel Gwyn. On January 6, 2024 she went to be with our Lord and Savior and her sweetheart, Tommy Dame to whom she was married, for 69 years. She was a lifelong member of Severn Church, in Naxera, where she was very active .. Elsie is survived by her seven children, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Many people will remember her because of the 60' tall Christmas tree and celebration that drew l00's of people, to her home, the first Sunday in December, for many years. Elsie loved flowers, gardening, the Walter Reed Garden Club and especially her family being together at the "Home Place". She had said the most important lessons she learned in life was to love the Lord first and love all people second. She was always known for her kind and loving ways. She was a sweet soul that will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be at the "Severn Church at 9066 Robins Neck Road, Gloucester, VA on Saturday January 27, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Andrews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
