Mrs. Louise Gwyn Leckey, 36, wife of Daniel R. Leckey, of Wheaton, Md., died unexpectedly Thursday, March 15, in a Washington, D. C., hospital. A former resident of Gloucester County, she was the daughter of Samuel Gwyn, of Naxera, and the late Mrs. Gwyn.
Besides her husband and father, she is survived by two sons, Stephen and Douglas Leckey, of Whaton, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Dame of Naxera and Mrs. George Gunn, of Ellerson; nine brothers, Jesse, Tabb, Saint, Bernard, Patrick, Fay, all of Gloucester, Boyd Gwyn with the U. S. Air Force, Statesman Gwyn of West Point, and John Gwyn, of Washington, D. C.
A funeral service was held at Severn Presbyterian Church, Naxera, at 2:30 p.m. March 18, with the Rev. B. T. Clarke, pastor of Bellamy Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by David Moylan, a senior ministerial student at the Union Theological Seminary, Richmond. Active pallbearers were Harold Gwyn, John Soles, Hurtell Robins, Ray Marshall, Nelson Robins and Walter Deal. The Women of the Church served as honorary pallbearers. Interment was in the church cemetery.
