Larry Obray Danielsen was born Monday, June 28, 1937 in Logan to Henry Danielsen and Maria Obray, the twelfth of thirteen children. In August 1937, the Danielsen family moved to the Salt Lake Valley, where they have lived since. From 1937 until 1943, he resided at 20 North P Street (1000 East) in the Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City. From 1943 until his death, he resided at 1377 South 300 East in the Liberty Wells neighborhood of Salt Lake City. Larry attended South High School in Salt Lake City, but dropped out to join a carnival.

From 1958 until 1959, he resided at 1738 South 900 East in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City. From 1959 until 1960, he lived in the family home on 300 East. From 1960 until 1964, he resided at 1355 South Edison Street (145 East) in the Liberty Wells neighborhood of Salt Lake City. From 1964 until 1976, he resided at 5216 South 1045 East in Murray. From 1976 until 1979, he resided at 415 East 3400 South in South Salt Lake. From 1979 until his death, he resided at 224 East Kensington Avenue (1522 South) in the Liberty Wells neighborhood of Salt Lake City.

He married Tamara Taylor on June 22, 1957 in Salt Lake City. They were divorced on January 30, 1962. He married Barbara Norman Cooksy on January 4, 1965 in Salt Lake City. They were divorced on March 9, 1973. He had four children: Michelle, Kellie, Terri, and Troy.

Larry was a concrete finisher for over thirty-two years. He loved animals, and had a pet ocelot for several years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Sunday School Teacher. Blessed with a deep, loud voice, Larry sang in the Browning Ward Choir.

On Thursday, March 26, 1987, he purchased food at the McDonalds at 1555 South State Street (100 East). While walking back to his home, Larry suffered a heart attack and died at the scene. On a unsettling note, someone stole his wallet before first responders arrived. May Uncle Larry rest in eternal peace.

Graveside services were held on Monday, March 30, 1987 at 12:00 p.m. in the Hyrum City Cemetery located at 600 East Main Street in Hyrum.
