Isabel Hannah "Peggy" Danielsen Huntley was born Monday, October 16, 1916 in Arco, Idaho to Henry Danielsen and Alice Laurene Jensen. She was the third of thirteen children.

Though the family moved several times during her childhood, most of her childhood years were spent in Hyrum, where her father was a well-known entrepreneur.

She was a beautiful, smart, and talented young woman, sought after by many of the young men in the area, but chose instead the handsome businessman from Idaho, Merle Leroy Huntley, as her husband. On May 29, 1936, they were married in Logan; their marriage was solemnized in the Boise, Idaho Temple on September 28, 1995. Merle preceded her in death on August 6, 1998. They had three daughters and one son, Margi, Radean, Nancy, and Douglas.

From 1936 to 1937, they resided at 50 East Center Street in Logan. From 1937 to 1941, they resided at 233 North 100 East in Logan. From 1941 to 1948, they resided at 505 Meadow Drive in Boise. From 1948 to 1950, they resided at 1003 North 6th in Boise. From 1950 to 1955, they resided at 4208 Edgemont in Boise. From 1955 to 1960, they resided at 1814 Edgecliff Terrace in Boise. From 1960 to 1970, they resided at 201 West Jefferson in Boise. From 1970 to 1971, they resided at 5712 Skylark Place in LaJolla. From 1971 to 1978, they resided at 4610 Natalie Drive in San Diego. From 1978 to 1990, they resided at 2300 Utter Street in Bellingham. From 1990 to 1992, they resided at 3131 Ferry Avenue in Bellingham. From 1993 to 1994, they resided at 5335 Belfern Drive in Bellingham. From 1994 to 1998, they resided at 380 East Pole Road in Lynden. From 1998 to 2000, they resided at 2100 Electric Avenue in Bellingham from 2000 to 2002, she resided at 4625 Cordata Parkway in Bellingham.

Peggy was a loving mother and homemaker. She raised her four children in Boise, where she was involved in parent-teacher associations, the Jaycees, and Boise Little Theatre.

She was a master bridge player and loved entertaining her many friends. Peggy was a very gracious lady, and her sunny disposition and generous ways endeared her to all.

After her children were raised and her husband retired, Peggy and Merle moved to La Jolla, where they lived for several years. They later moved to Whatcom County, where they lived for over twenty years.

Peggy passed away of natural causes on Sunday, February 17, 2002 at Mount Baker Care Center in Bellingham, Washington.

At her passing, Peggy's grandchildren numbered seventeen, her great-grandchildren eighteen, and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services were held on Friday, February 22, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. in the Greenacres Memorial Park Cemetery located at 5700 Northwest Road in Ferndale, Washington, where Peggy was laid to rest beside her husband.

Her obituary, which was published in the Bellingham Herald (Bellingham, Washington) on February 19, 2002:

"Isabelle Hannah "Peggy" Huntley, age 85, passed from her earthly life on Sunday, February 17, 2002. Peggy was predeceased by her husband of sixty-two years, Merle Huntley, in 1998.

"She is survived by her children, Radean Priest of Pocatello, Idaho; Nancy Huntley Holland of Stevensville, Montana; Douglas Huntley of Boise, Idaho; and Marjorie Wessels of Bellingham; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.

"Peggy was a master bridge player and loved entertaining her many friends. She was a very gracious lady and her sunny disposition and generous ways endeared her to all.

"Peggy loved celebrating and decorating for holidays. Nothing meant more to her than bringing all of her "brood" together during Christmas. We now have two "special angels" looking out for us - Merle and Peggy.

"Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2002 at Greenacres Memorial Park, Ferndale.
