Henry Danielsen was born Thursday, October 13, 1881 in Hyrum, the son of Niels Peter Danielsen and Camilla Nielsen Petersen. Henry was the first member of his family to be born in America; his parents were from Denmark.

Henry was engaged to Ruby Theodora Johnson, but she died suddenly on the day of their marriage. He was sealed to her in the Logan LDS Temple on April 2, 1912.

Henry married Alice Laurene Jensen on April 4, 1912 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. President Anthon H. Lund, who served as temple president from 1911-1921, performed the ceremony. She preceded him in death on May 27, 1926 after a long battle with heart disease. They had four children.

They lived in Arco, Idaho from 1915 until the fall of 1920, when they moved to Oakland, California for the winter. The following spring, they returned to Arco and then to Hyrum, where they stayed for a short time before moving to Paradise, where they resided for two years. In 1923, they moved to Logan, where they resided for three years. After Alice died, Henry moved back to Hyrum.

Henry married Maria Obray on June 27, 1927 in Ogden. They were later sealed on January 26, 1978 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had nine children, four of whom are still living.

In September 1927, they moved to Southern California, where they resided at 231 West 92nd Street in Inglewood, a city in southwestern Los Angeles County, southwest of Downtown Los Angeles. During this time, Henry was a manager at Walter Hearns.

During the summer of 1930, they operated a ranch in McKay, Idaho, and lived in Malad, Idaho and Logan during that year. In August 1937, the Danielsen family moved to the Salt Lake Valley, where they have lived since. From 1937 until 1943, he resided at 20 North P Street (1000 East) in the Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City. From 1943 until his death, he resided at 1377 South 300 East in the Liberty Wells neighborhood of Salt Lake City.

Henry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in Norway. Henry was a member of the Browning Ward and at the time of his death he was serving as a member of the Elder's Quorum.

Henry was a businessman in Utah, Idaho, and California throughout his life. He owned and operated a candy store for several years in Logan. He owned the first automobile in Cache County and offered free rides around town square in Logan on Pioneer Day. He operated a hardware store in Arco, Idaho for five years. From 1921 until 1927, he worked for the Cache County School Board. From 1938 until 1942, he was a salesman for Royal Vacuum. From 1942 until his retirement in 1949, he worked as a patrolman and guard in Salt Lake City.

Henry enjoyed yardwork and gardening and was well-known in Salt Lake City for his rose garden, which became more abundant with growth and delightful in substance with every passing year.

Henry, who suffered from heart disease for the last ten years of his life, suffered a heart attack around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 28, 1958. He passed away ten hours later at 12:40 p.m. at Salt Lake General Hospital. Henry's death came on the twentieth anniversary of the passing of his son, Glendon

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 1958 in the Rose Room located at 36 East 700 South in Salt Lake City. A viewing was held on Tuesday, September 30, 1958 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
Graveside services were held immediately following the conclusion of the funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Hyrum City Cemetery, where he was laid to rest beside his second wife, Alice, and his son, Glendon.
