Mr. Huntley died at his home on Thursday, August 8, 1998. He was eighty-seven.
Born March 4, 1911 to William and Elizabeth Bader Huntley in Nampa, Idaho, he married Isabelle "Peggy" Huntley on May 29, 1936 in Logan, Utah.
He was co-owner and manager of Boise Fruit and Produce Co. After retiring, he moved to California and then to Bellingham twenty years ago.
Active in many civic organizations, Mr. Huntley served as president of the Northwest Produce Association for seventeen years, and of the Idaho Food Dealers' Association, Boise Junior Chamber of Commerce, and Boise Little Theater, where he acted in many theatrical productions.
He enjoyed flowers, birds, and the countryside.
Survivors include his wife of the family home; daughters, Marjorie Wessels of Bellingham, Radean Priest of Pocatello, Idaho; and Nancy Huntley Olson of Missoula, Montana; son, Douglas Huntley of Boise, Idaho; sister, Dorothy Frisch of Boise, Idaho; seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and many other family members.
