Jennie Margaret Lowry was the sixth child of twelve born to David and Mary (Leslie) Lowry. She married Miner Harding on December 31, 1886 and they had one child (Norman). After her husband's death, she married Fred S Thompson on April 1, 1911. She was a school teacher and later attained a business education, and was a bookkeeper in Chicago. Later in life, she returned to Center Township in Rock County, Wisconsin and purchased the Lowry homestead there.
