from the Janesville Daily Gazette:

Word has been received here of the death of Andrew H. Lowry, which occurred at his home in Fargo, North Dakota. The cause of death or the length of the illness is not known to relatives here.

Mr. Lowry was born in Newark, New York, Feb. 5, 1853. While still a small boy he came west with his parents to Wisconsin where they settled in the town of Center. Here he grew to young manhood and then moved to the west, locating on a farm near Buffalo, North Dakota.

He suffered many of the privations of the pioneer life, and for much of the time lived alone. At the end of two years he returned to Janesville, and on Oct. 9, 1883, was united in marriage to Miss Mary Stannard. They returned to North Dakota the same year locating in Buffalo, then removing to Fargo, where they have since resided.

He leaves besides his wife three daughters: Mrs Clifton Rich, and Misses Ina and Frances Lowry, all of Fargo; an aged mother, Mrs. Mary Lowry, of the town of Center; five brothers, David and Evan Lowry of Janesville, Lewis of North Fond du Lac, Sherman of South Dakota, and Frank of Footville; also three sisters, Mrs. George Townsend of Magnolia, Mr. Fred Thompson of Chicago, and Mrs. Charles Stewart of Janesville...
