Florence Batchelor Adams, age 69, died Monday, Febuary 2, 2004 in a Macon hospital. Services will be 11 A.M., Thursday,Febuary 5, 2004 in Oak Grove Methodist Church with
Rev. Roy Kittle and Rev. Reuben Atchison officiating. Interment in Oak Grove Church Cemetery, Milledgeville.
Mrs. Adams was a native of Hancock County but made her home in Milledgeville. She was a homemaker and a member and a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry David Batchelor and Mattie Johnson Batchelor Purdue.
Survivors include husband, Herman "Catfish" Adams of Milledgeville; two daughters, Marie Yarbrough and husband Emmett, Becky Adams all of Milledgeville; four sons, J.W. Adams and Cathy, Leon Adams and Sandy, Eric Adams and Holly, David Adams and Lisa all of Milledgeville; two sisters, Eileen Stephens of Hardwick, and Mabel Flury of Sparta; three brothers, Carlton Batchelor, W.A. Batchelor, and Louie Batchelor all of Milledgeville; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday.
Mrs. Adams will lie in state at the church from 10 o'clock until the funeral hour,
Williams Funeral Home of Milledgevillein charge of arrangements.
