Funeral services for James Sidney Batchelor, 55, who died Friday in a Dublin hospital after an extended illness, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Northside Baptist Church.
The Rev. Luke Moncrief and the Rev. Norman Williams will officiate and burial will be in Knowles Chapel Cemetery in Hancock County.
Mr. Batchelor, a native of Putnam County, lived the last years of his life in Baldwin County. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wille Bell Batchelor of Milledgeville; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Mason of Milledgeville, Mrs. Martha Seabolt, Mrs. Clarice Stewart and Mrs. Virgina Johnson, all of Athens; a son James S. Batchelor of Milledgeville; nine brothers, David H., John Henry, W.A., Louie M. and Carlton Batchelor all of Milledgeville, David, Andrew and Harvey, all of Sparta, and Jessie Batchelor of White Plains; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Jackson of Martinez, Mrs. Mabel Lou Flury of Sparta, Mrs. Florence Adams and Mrs. Ellene Stephens, both of Milledgeville; and four grandchildren.
