Mr. Batchelor, a native of Hancock County, lived in Baldwin County most of his life. He was retired from Central State Hospital was a World war II veteran, and was a member and deacon of Town Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Batchelor of Milledgeville; a stepson, Zackey Sanders of Milledgeville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Farmer of Milledgeville; his stepmother, Mrs. Mattie Perdue of Milledgeville; six brothers, David Batchelor of Sparta, John Henry Batchelor of Eatonton, and Jessie Batchelor, Carlton Batchelor. W.A. Batchelor, and Louie Batchelor, all of Milledgeville; and four sisters, Mrs. Mable Flury of Sparta, Mrs. Pauline Jackson of Martinez, Mrs. Florence Adans and Aileen Stevens, both of Milledgeville.
