Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Knowles Chapel
Methodist Church in Sparta. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Batchelor, a native of Hancock County, had lived in Putnam County, for 24 years. He was a retired groundskeeper at Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, a World War II Army veteran and a member of
Knowles Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Yarbrough Batchelor of Eatonton; three daughters, Jean Thigpen, Rhetta Sharp and Angela Chalker, all of Eatonton; three brothers, W.A. Batchelor, Carlton Batchelor and Louie Batchelor, all of Milledgeville; four sisters, Pauline Jackson of Augusta Mable Flurry of Sparta and Eileen Stephens and Florence Adams, both of Milledgeville; and four grandchildren.
The family will be at Vinings Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m.
