George T. Oligschlaeger, 86, of St. Thomas, died Wednesday (Jan 6, 1988) at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City. He was born Sep 17, 1901 in St. Elizabeth, a son of Fritz and Louise Struemph Oligschlaeger. He was married May 7, 1929 to Emma Kemna, who survives at the home. A retired farmer and carpenter, he was a lifelong resident of St. Elizabeth until moving to St. Thomas eight years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Fred Oligschlaeger of Seattle, WA and Norbert Oligschlaeger of Salina, CA; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Turner of Savannah, Mrs. Evelyn Buschjost of St. Thomas, and Mrs. Joyce Backes of Loose Creek; three brothers, Joe Oligschlaeger of Tipton, Emil Oligschlaeger and Lawrence Oligschlaeger, both of St. Elizabeth; and three sisters, Lucy Luetkemeyer and Frances Wilde, both of Jefferson City. Services were to be held Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Wilbers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
