Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, Thursday, April 11, 1991

Lawrence W. Oligschlaeger, 74, of St. Elizabeth died Tuesday, April 9, 1991 at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born July 25, 1916 at St. Elizabeth to Fritz and Mary Evers Oligschlaeger. On June 20, 1939 he was married in St. Elizabeth to Ursuline Wilde, who survives at the home.

Mr. Oligschlaeger was a lifelong resident of St. Elizabeth. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and its Holy Name Sodality and was communion minister and usher at the church. He was a retired farmer.

Surviving him are three sons, Paul Oligschlaeger and Robert Oligschlaeger, both of Jefferson City, and Mark Oligschlaeger of St. Elizabeth; three daughters, Betty Schellman of St. Thomas, Carol Otto of Jefferson City and Donna Joannes of Kansas City; a brother, Emil Oligschlaeger of St. Elizabeth; a sister, Lucy Luetkemeyer of St. Elizabeth; and 17 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth with the Rev. John Degnan officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth. The rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
