Emil John Oligschlaeger, 85, St. Elizabeth, died Dec 24, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born May 7, 1914, in St. Elizabeth, a son of Fritz and Mary Evers Oligschlaeger. He was married Sept 23, 1945, in St. Elizabeth, to Margaret Wilde, who survives at the home.

He owned and operated Oligschlaeger Truck Lines from 1942 to 1995. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth, St. Elizabeth Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Sodality.

Other survivors include: two sons, Kenneth Oligschlaeger, St. Elizabeth, and Thomas Oligschlaeger, Marys Home; two daughters, Sara Loethen, Mendocino, Calif., and Patricia Wilde, Jefferson City; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Rev. Greg Oligschlaeger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the St. Elizabeth Community Center, with a prayer service at 7:30. Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, St. Elizabeth.
