He was the father of the late Atty. Paul B. Conley, former "fighting" Lafayette county district attorney who died July 12, 1938.
The elder Mr. Conley was born Aug. 14, 1869 on a farm south of Darlington. He graduated from the Darlington schools and studied law at the University of Wisconsin.
He was admitted to the bar June 15, 1892, and had practiced law for 48 years in Darlington, serving three terms as district attorney.
The widow Catherine, survives.
Funeral services will be held at 9 am Monday in Holy Rosary church here. The Rev. Bernard Doyle will offciate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
