Married Sarah McCARVILLE in County Monaghan Ireland abt 1847. They emigrated with three children (Michael, Patrick and Owen)in 1857. Daughter Sara was born at sea in 1857. Five children were born in Lafayette Coounty (Catherine, James, John, Francis and Edward)

Will of Patrick Conley
In the name of God amen
I Patrick CONNELLY of Darlington Wisconsin being now somewhat advanced in years and being in poor health, but being of sound and disposing mind do make and publish and declare this as for my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills of me made.

First:
It is my will that all of my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and as far as possible out of my personal estate.

Second:
It is my will and I do hereby give and bequeath to my son, MICHAEL, the sum of ten dollars, this bequest I make to him because I have already given to my son, MICHAEL, his full share of my estate.

Third:
The south eighty(?) of my farm consisting of the north east quarter of the south west quarter of Section 27 Township 2 North of Range 3 east I hereby give, grant and devise to my son OWEN and to his heirs forever. I also give and bequeath to my said son a good share of horses, a lumber wagon, a sett of double harness, one plow and a harrow.

Fourth:
All the rest and residue of my estate real and personal of every name and nature I do hereby give, grant, bequeath and devise to my beloved wife, SARAH CONNELLY, as long as she shall live, and it is my will thatall of my unmarried children, so long as they remain unmarried, live and reside with their mother on the premises hereby devised to her.

Fifth:
I have now about two hundred dollars in money belonging to my son PATRICK CONNELLY and it is my will the said sum be paid back to him.

Sixth:
After the death of my WIFE it is my will that all my estate real and personal be equally divided share and share alike between my children JOHN, JAMES, FRANCIS and SARAH, MARGARET and CATHERINE CONNELLY. In case either of my DAUGHTERS shall marry before my wife's death it is my will that upon such marriage such daughter receive two hundred dollars out of her share of my said estate; and it is my will that my sons, JOHN and JAMES be well educated and that the expenses of such education be taken out of their respective shares of my said estate; and in case either of the said SIX CHILDREN so named as residuary legatees and devizees of my estate shall die without issue, then it is my will that the surviving residuary legatees have and receive the part and share of such deceased child.

Seventh:
I hereby give and bequeath to my son PATRICK CONNELLY the sum of two hundred dollars.

Eighth:
I hereby nominate and appoint my son OWEN CONNELLY and my friend NEIL FISHER executors of this last will and testament of mine.
In witness whereof I have herewith set my hand seal this 15 day of November 1877

The above will consisting of one sheet was now this NOVEMBER 15 1877 made published and declared by the said PATRICK CONNELLY as and for his last will and testament and at the same time in our presence was signed and sealed by the said Patrick Connelly as and for his last will and testament and we in his presence and in the presence of each other and at said Patrick Connelly's request have signed our names as witnesses hereto.
