Katherine Woodruff, 89, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011, at her home. After a year long illness. Service is 10 a.m. Monday, at Mineral Wells Church of God. Burial will follow at Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation is 6-7 p.m. Sunday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
Born in Graham, Texas, she is the daughter of Alvin and Rosa (Hamilton) Moore. She had been a life long resident of Mineral Wells, a founding member of the Church of God. Worked many years as a Stanley Home Products Dealer.. and a Home Health Worker for many years..
She married William "Bill" Hamilton in 1938, he died 1964 after 25 years and 8 kids. Ethel then married James Monroe Davis from Fort Worth in 1965, He died after 20 years. Ethel then married Joe Barnard, they were together for 7 years before he died. Ethel then married A J Woodruff..he died of a heart attack10 years later.
Survivors include Joyce Hendrick, of Houston, William Hamilton and wife, Ora, of Mineral Wells, Doris Holder and husband, Joe, of Mineral Wells, George Hamilton and wife, Cindy, of Mineral Wells, and Ruth Hamilton, of Mineral Wells; 26 grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and many friends.
She was preceded by her parents; all 13 brother and sisters; sons, Jimmy and John Hamilton; and daughter, Rosa; Grandsons Kevin Viegon and Charlie Hamilton.
