Rev. Tom Moore
Services for Rev Tom Moore, 74, of 614 S.W. 15th Avenue, will be at 11 a.m., Friday at the the Church of God, Rev. Charles Prince will officiate assisted by Rev. James Oakley. Interment will be in Indian Creek Cemetery with Mineral Wells Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Rev. Moore died May 22 at 2:50 p.m. He was born January 5, 1910 in Brad and had been a Mineral Wells, resident since May of 1971. He and Marlene Lawrence were married September 8, 1936 in Weatherford. He was an ordained minister of the Church of God for 35 years. Rev. Moore was also a member of I.B. of E.W. Local No. 518 of Globe, Arizona and was an electrial Contractor for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife Marlene Moore, of Mineral Wells; two sons, Jackson Tom Moore Jr of San Luiz Obispo, California. Jeff D. Moore of Fort Worth; four daughters; Jacqueline and husband Phil Shearer, of Cleveland Tennessee; Treasure and husband G. A. Swanson of Baxter, Tennessee; Dona Burns and husband Roy Burns of Irving, Texas; Leah and husband Eddy Prince of Lubbock; six brothers, John Moore of Shelton Washington, Jim Moore of Santa Ana, California, Jeff Moore of Pine Top, Arizona, Jesse Moore of Mineral Wells, William Bill Moore of Fort Worth, George Moore of Midland. Three sisters; Frances Houck and Katherine Davis of Mineral Wells, and Lela Willhite of Fresno, California.
Eighteen Grandchildren and one great grandchild. One daughter June Moore preceded him in death in 1941.
Pallbearers will be; David Moore, J.R. Burns, Joe Holder, Jimmy Vigeon and William Hamilton.
