Jefferson Robert Moore, age 90, died at his home in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday, July 1, 2007. He was born to Alvin S. and Rosa Hamilton Moore, January 20, 1917 in Young County, Texas. Jeff married Oveita Lawrence on May 8, 1936 in Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years and daughters, Jan Moore-Acridge of Phoenix, Arizona and Yvonne Hall and husband Robert of Glendale, Arizona.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his two sons, Marlin Tom and Alvis Jefferson, his parents and five brothers, John, Tom, Joe, Jesse, and Bill Moore, Four sisters, Agnes Reeder, Lela Willhite, Frances Houck and Evelyn Moore.
Other survivors include Eight grandchildren 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. One sister, Ethel Woodruff of Mineral Wells, Texas, two brothers, Jim of Hesperia, California, George of Midland, Texas.
Services were held Thursday, July 5th at the Greer-Wilson Funeral Home, Phoenix. Officiating, Rev. Scott Acridge and Rev. Daniel Allen. Interment in the Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale, Arizona.
