At great-grandmother Marie Bayer Weisskopf's gravesite, Eternal Home Cemetery, Colma, CA, USA. After her husband Philipp's death in 1900 in Prague, Bohemia, she came to the US to join her 7 surviving children who had immigrated to San Francisco - son Gustav died there in 1891. In 1964, forty years before this was taken, I found her hand-written birth record in a Prague archive. Her husband, my great-grandfather Philipp
, is buried in Prague's 'new' Jewish cemetery, perhaps best known as the author Franz Kafka's last resting place.
