Bio
I am the President of the Oregon County Historical Society.
The "Oregon County History Club" is a different entity.
Jenny Underwood is the "owner" and has published some books at her own expense.
I do research and documentation of local history,local Civil War history,agriculture,and genealogy.Oregon & Howell County,Missouri Fulton,Marion,Lawrence
County,Arkansas. Contributor of much information published in the Oregon County,Missouri books 2010-2018. Listed below. I receive no income from the book sales, it all goes to the OCHS Treasurer. So far in my many years of work on history and family histories I have not received the first dollar.
I enjoy sharing information and putting a face on a person in the findagrave memorials, 11,100 photo's added so far and over 9000 flowers. Those people can no longer speak for themselves, so it is up to us to remember, honor, and "speak" for them. I hope people will do the same for me when my time on Earth ends.
I will transfer any memorials that are not my relation, just ask.
Check my albums on the Thayer Missouri Historical Society page on facebook for grave locations WITH markers up to 2012 in Thayer Cemetery and Riverside Cemetery. Album:Thayer Cemetery Album: Riverside Cemetery. This work was done by Larry & Susan Matthews in 2012
I have around 70 albums and over 12,000 photographs, articles, and bits of historical information on Thayer, Missouri and the surrounding area. facebook: Thayer Missouri Historical Society
