NOTE!! If you have info that needs updating please send me corrections thru the Suggest a Correction feature, I will make the changes. If you have a bio to add, please email me with the "suggest other" feature, I will add it. There is no reason to create duplicates for the reason of merging just to have info added.
If you are related, and I am not, I will transfer. JUST ASK!!
I check my page frequently. CK

Family lines that I am researching include (but not limited to): Clark-Shunkwiler, Borel, Goslin, Beisel, Lease, Peschl, Wise and Hill.

I have completely photographed Elmwood-Saint Joseph Cemetery in Mason City, IA and finished in 2011. Still working on identifying the unreadable markers. All the photos that I have taken at Elmwood in Mason City are also on file with the cemetery office. If I have placed an over view photo for someone without a stone, please don't hesitate to ask for a more precise photo, I will gladly go back out and mark the exact plot, if I can find it, with flowers and take another picture. If you are unsure of the photos I have placed, please check to see if there are any notes by clicking on the photo. I am currently going thru the records, a section at a time, and documenting all those who didn't have a stone to photograph.

Use of any photos I have taken is fine for PERSONAL genealogy use, including your trees you may have on, please just give credit. Thanks! CK

Preserving history, yours and mine, one stone at a time. I do this out of respect for those that have gone before us, so that they are remembered and any and every stone in the cemetery be preserved digitally forever.

**If I have added any duplicate headstone photos on a memorial and you would like them removed please just let me know. I try not to do that, but sometimes its nice to have a different view, lighting and seasons can make a huge difference, not to mention how much better digital photography is now compared to when some of us started doing this. Time keeps ticking and some stones get a little more worn down every year.

***Please let me know if you would like any of the photos from Elmwood redone. I tried to take the best photo possible at the time, but couldn't stop and clean everything that may have needed it.

***Note about the dates on some of the memorials with no stones. I have an old set of records and they don't seem to line up exactly with the dates that are on-line. They seem to be a day off on both birth and death days, so don't go by the memorial info only.
