Mrs. Margaret C (Dugan) Burns widow of John M Burns of 23 Webster Ave West Springfield, formerly of Wait Street, Springfield. Died Thursday in Springfield Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Robert J and Ellen (Leary) Duggan, she had lived in Springfield all her life until moving to West Springfield a few years ago. She was a matron at Forbes and Wallace for many years. She leaves four sons, former Alderman William H, of Holyoke, Thomas F, of West Springfield, John M, local fire fighter, and Robert M, of West Springfield member of West Springfield Board of Appeals with whom Mrs. Burns lived. Two daughters Mrs. Wesley S Potter of Springfield and Mrs. John J Bosini of Feeding Hills and 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral will be at the State Street parlors of the T P Sampson Co. Monday morning. Burial will be in St Michael’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 10 PM today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 PM Saturday and Sunday.
