She was born Feb. 14, 1894 in Blanchardville the daughter of Charles and Margaret Amerpohl.
She was married to Freeman V. Giesselbrecht, who for many years was associated with the First National Bank of Woodstock. He died Feb. 27, 1947.
A resident of Woodstock since 1921, Mrs. Giesselbrecht taught in Dean Street and Westwood Schools for many years. She was a member of the National Education Association and a former member of the Business and Professional Woman's Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Woodstock, Ill. She attended grade and high school in Blanchardville and graduated in the year 1913.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. David (Grace) Hodges, Chicago; two brothers, Clifford Amerpohl, Appleton, and Henry Amerpohl, Milwaukee; and four nieces. Walt Gould, Blanchardville, was an uncle of Mrs. Giesselbrecht.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church at Woodstock, Ill., with Pastor Ernest C. Cardey officiating. Friends called at the Schneider-Luecht-Merwin Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock, Ill.
Relatives and friends were served coffee at the Lloyd Johnson home following the burial rites Saturday afternoon.
