Carol Ann Cunningham Stacy, 72, of Lafayette, died at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 9:48 PM. Born in Logansport on December 30, 1937, she was the daughter of Helen Burkett Cunningham of Lafayette and the late Elmer Cunningham. Her marriage was to Perry H. Stacy, Jr. on August 30, 1956 in Schweinfurt, Germany and he survives.

Mrs. Stacy was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul Community Church in Linden. She enjoyed painting, traveling, taking pictures, playing card and board games, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Carol was a giving, caring person all her life and she continues to give by requesting that her body be donated for medical research.

Surviving with her husband and mother are two sons, Tim Stacy (wife, Stephanie) of Mt. Vernon and Ken Stacy (wife, Monica) of Shawnee, KS; two daughters, Pam Church and Trudy Germain (husband, Bruce) both of Lafayette; two sisters, Sharon Denhardt (husband, Mick) and Diane Achgill (husband, Ralph) both of Lafayette; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry D. Stacy, and two sisters, Linda White and Jean Creviston.

Visitation from 12-2 PM with memorial service at 2 PM Sunday at Hippensteel Tribute Center, 2529 Schuyler Ave., Lafayette, Rev. Dr. Clayton Kendall officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Community Church, Linden, Indiana.
