Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hansen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. R.F. Bradtke officiating. Music will be provided by Ilse Bradtke, organist.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick, Earl, Randy and Michael Kohl, John Garbisch and Carl Seidel.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until service time Monday at the funeral chapel.
Memorials may be designated in her name to the family, and they will establish a memorial.
She was born Feb. 10, 1906, in the town of Day, Marathon County, the daughter of John and Sophie (nee Greenburg) Zettler. She was married to Merton Howard on Oct 25, 1932, at St. John's Lutheran Church Parsonage in Pittsville.
Following her education in town of Day schools, she helped on her brother's, Ed Zettler, farm until her marriage. She then moved to Marshfield and operated a rooming house for many years until her retirement. She also bred and raised canaries.
She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt.
She is survived by her daughter Patsy (Roman) Brost of Chili; three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 21, 1988; her parents; four brothers, Alvin, Julius, Ed and Norman Zettler, and three sisters, Frieda Koppy, Emma Bruckert and Julia Moody.
