Carolyn Gay McKnight, 46, passed away peacefully July 16, 2006 from natural causes. She was born October 4, 1959 in Salt Lake City to Quanah and Vivian McKnight.
She married Darrel Pehrson; later divorced. They had one son, Darrel.
Carolyn was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a compassionate spirit, was very loving and generous. She maintained a strong will through her health adversities and challenges in life. She had a way of always seeing the happy side of things. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Carolyn is survived by her son; granddaughter, Taetum; mother; siblings, Thomas (Betty), Larry (Debbie), Martha (Curt) Dowdle, June Peay, William (Lynn), Donna (Ron) Gedge, David (Marianne); many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 19th, 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan North 5th Ward, 3836 W. 4100 S. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road and on Wednesday, one hour prior to services at the church.
