Rachel Grace Bright, 65, of Casey, died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 1996 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, with the Rev. Paul Stauffer officiating. Burial will be in Casey Cumberland Cemetery, Casey. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She was born January 14,1931 in Clark County, Ill. to Sylvan Hammond Connelly and Florence Ulrey Connelly. She was married February 9, 1947 in Casey to Fred H. Bright.
She-was an insurance sales person for AFLAC for 10 years. She was a member of Casey First Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Fred Bright of Casey; sons and daugters-in-law, Terry L. and Barbara Bright of Sandwich, Randy A. and Kris Bright of Plano, Steve D. and Cathy Bright of Sandwich, and Fred W. and Terri Bright of Sandwich; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte S. and Don Boldrey of Casey; brothers, Junior Connelly of Wigham, Ga., Dewayne Connelly of Robinson, Dean Connelly of Paris, and Leon Connelly of Valparaiso, Ind.; sister, Rosemary Burris of Ft. Myers, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ernest, Denzil and Grendal Connelly; and two sisters, Dorthfredia Roberts and Sharon Hendrix.
