Rosie was originally from Casey, IL. Rosie and Vic retired and moved to Fort Myers in 1982. Rosie was preceded in death by Vic, her husband of 52 years.
She is survived by two daughters: Kim Glascott and her husband Mike of Sarasota and Lynn Small and her husband Jim of Fort Myers and two grandsons, Bryce and Zackary Glascott of Sarasota.
Rosie was an active member of her community and at Jamaica Bay. She was an active member of Southside Christian Church for the past 16 years.

She was born Nov. 2, 1925 in Martinsville, the daughter of Sylvan and Florence Connelly. She married Victor Burris Oct. 12, 1946. He Preceded her in death on February ?, 1999.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimbley Glascott and husband, Mike; two grandsons, Bryce and Zachary; four brothers, Harold De? of Paris, Forest Leon of Valparraiso, Sylvan Jr. of Georgetown, and Dwayne of Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ernest, Denzil, and Grendel, three sisters, Sharon Hendrix, Rachel Bright, and Dorthfreda Roberts.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29 at 11 a.m. at the Southside Christian Church, Ft. Myers, Fla.
Memorials may be made to the Southside Christian Church, College Parkway, Ft. Myers, Fla., where she and Victor were active members.
