Billy Hendrix, son of Lloyd and Audrian (Linton) Hendrix, was born in Clark County, Illlinois, on October 4, 1938, and lost his life in an automobile accident on May 21, 1972.

Bill accepted Christ and was baptized at the Five Points Christian Church near Marshall, in 1951. He graduated from the Marshall High School in 1956. Following graduation, he enrolled in a four year apprentice course at the Caterpillar plant in Peoria, Illinois. He moved to Sandwich, Illinois in 1958 and finished the course at the Aurora plant, graduating in December, 1961. He served in the United States Army from January 16, 1962 to December 13, 1963, spending most of this time at Fort Carson, Colorado. Bill then returned to the Caterpillar Plant in Aurora, where he had just received a promotion to "Work Standard Supervisor."

Sharon Sue Hendrix, daughter of Sylvan and Florence (Ulrey) Connelly, was born in Clark County, Illinois on August 18, 1941, and lost her life in the same accident which claimed the life of her husband. She also accepted Christ and was baptized at the Five Points Christian Church in 1953. She was a graduate of the Martinsville, Illinois High School. At the time of her death, she was employed at the Yorkville Fashion Shop in Yorkville, Illinois.

On June 28, 1959, Bill Hendrix and Sharon-Sue Connelly were united in marriage at the First Christian Church in Marshall, Illinois. To this union was born one daughter, Kimberly Sue, who survives.

Bill Hendrix, in addition to his daughter Kimberly Sue, is survived by his mother, Audrian, three sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Claypool and Mrs. Sharon Grieve of Marshall, and Mrs. Beverly Higginbotham of Paris, Illinois, also a brother, Harold of Marshall. He was preceded in death by his father, who passed, away on July 3, 1970.

Sharon Sue Hendrix, in addition to her daughter, Kimberly Sue, is survived by her mother, Florence, two sisters, Mrs. Rosemary Burris, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Rachel Bright, Casey, Illinois, six brothers, Ernest, Effingham, Illinois, Denzel, Marshall, Illinois, Sylvan, Jr., Burton, S. Carolina, Dewayne, Oblong, Illinois, Dean, Streamwood, Illinois, and Leon, Joliet, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father in 1966, also a brother, Grendall, and a sister, Mrs. Dorthfreda Roberts. Bill and Sharon are also mourned by many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and host of friends.

Bill and Sharon were active in the life of the Plano Christian Church, as well as being members of the J.C.'s and Jaycettes. They both were also members of the Sandwich Sportsmen's Club.

Funeral services were conducted at the Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville, Illinois at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 1972, by Brother John K. Jones, Sr., minister of the First Christian Church, Marshall.
