She was born August 1, 1915, in Porter County, the daughter of Ernest and Jennie (Bastel) Affeld. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Valparaiso.
Surviving are two sisters, Florence Affeld and Rosie (Virgil) Hess, all of Valparaiso; two brothers, Vernon (Dorothy) Affeld and Robert (Sally) Affeld, all of Valparaiso; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services 11 a.m. Friday at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso; the Rev. Joseph Molitoris officiating; burial at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso; visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; memorials to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Sunday School.
