OBITUARY
FORMER LEONA RESIDENT DIES
Mrs. Vera LaMothe, 68, formerly of the Leona community died Saturday at Mt. Clemens, Mich.
Funeral srvices will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Highland Mortuary[Kansas] with the Rev. Robert Ziegler of Atchison officiation. Burial will be in the Bellevue [Pleasant Hill] cemetery north of Leona.
Mrs. LaMothe was born Dec. 8, 1908, at Leona.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Weigand, Indian River, Mich., and Mrs. Lois Deneweth, Mt. Clemens;
four brothers, Arthur, Lloyd, Floyd and Frederick Knecht, all of Leona; a sister, Mrs. Marie Luoma, Leona; three grandsons and one grandaughter.

Vera first married Jesse Frank Poindexter of Axtel, Kansas and later married "Red" LaMothe in Michigan.
