MARY PARKER
On August 10, 1968 in Winnipeg ,Mrs. Mary Parker, aged 99 years, 11 months, of Sanford, Manitoba, widow of John H. Parker. Funeral service will be held in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, Broadway at Furby, Tuesday, August 13 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Wm. Whetter officiating. Interment in the family plot, Sanford Cemetery. Courtesy parking west of the funeral chapels. Mrs. Parker came to Manitoba from County Antrim, Ireland, as a girl of fourteen, with her parents and thirteen brothers and sisters. The family settled south of Winnipeg in the community now known as Sanford. Here Mrs. Parker spent the greater part of her life moving to Winnipeg five years ago when poor health necessitated hospital and nursing home care. Her husband John H. Parker predeceased her twenty six years ago. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Alma Hamer of Sanford and Mrs. H. (Wanita) Verrall and a son William J. Winnipeg. There are seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Hill Rodgers of Winnipeg.
