Dana Anthony Burns, 81, daughter of C.R. and Lutie Anthony, a long time resident of Oklahoma City, passed away September 21, 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.R. and Lutie Anthony, her sister, Betty Zahn and her brothers, Guy and Ray Anthony. She was born in Cleveland, OK, February 14, 1920.

She is a graduate of Classen High School, attended Christian College in Columbia, MO and the University of Oklahoma. Mrs. Burns was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. She was a patron to the Oklahoma City Zoo, Lyric Theater, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum among others.

Dana married Joe M. Bower, July 12, 1941, deceased, with whom she shared five children: Mark B. Clasby, of Waynesville, NC, Steve A. Clasby, of Scroggins, TX, Jane C. Yakots, of Atlanta, GA, Dwight D. Clasby, of Oklahoma City and Brad L. Clasby, of Greensboro, NC.

Dana married Robert Clasby Jr., April 1958, deceased, with whom she shared one son, R. Grant Clasby of Franklin, TN.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer R. Burns of Nowata and Oklahoma City; her sister, Helen Anthony Moore, of Oklahoma City, fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Dana was full of joy with a zest for living; she always viewed life with an optimistic outlook. Dana was devoted to her family, loved traveling, playing cards and enjoyed her many friends. She was a benefactor to many civic and charitable organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Anthony Burns Fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 25, 2001. HAHN-COOK STREET & DRAPER
