Elizabeth ("Elsie") was a twin and the ninth of twelve children born to Michael C. & Elizabeth (Braun) Minnerath.

On 27 October 1920, "Elsie" married Daniel Atras Schlecht, in Cold Spring, MN; she was age 28, he was 23. Born 9 March 1897 in Canistota, SD; Daniel was the youngest of seven children born to John Henry & Mary Ellen (Lalley) Schlecht.

A homemaker & mother of four, "Elsie" died at age 82.
