Born on the family farm in Wakefield (Township) of Stearns County, MN; Amalia Eve died of influenza 11 April 1884 in Wakefield (Township), MN at age 2.

NOTE: The family oral history is that Franz, Maria K., and Amalia Eve died from an influenza epidemic, which was sweeping through Central Minnesota at the time. Their deaths were never recorded in the courthouse, since before 1900, this was not a requirement. Deaths were recorded in family bible and church records.

Family history states that the parents went to town to bury one of their children; when then returned found another had died.
